چکیده
We experimentally show a giant magnetoelectric (ME) effect at room temperature in an interfacial multiferroic heterostructure consisting of L21-ordered Co2FeSi and Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (PMN-PT). Molecular beam epitaxy growth 400 °C enables us to obtain epitaxial films on PMN-PT(001). For the Co2FeSi/PMN-PT heterostructure, remanent magnetization state can be largely modulated by varying electric fields. note that room-temperature ME coupling coefficient (?) is estimated 6.0–6.3 ×10?6 s/m, comparable highest ? value reported previously. Nonvolatile repeatable changes states are also demonstrated. These results will pave way for electric-field control half-metallic Heusler alloys high-performance spintronic devices.

The memory effect of magnetoelectric coupling in FeGaB/NiTi/PMN-PT multiferroic heterostructure
Magnetoelectric coupling effect has provided a power efficient approach in controlling the magnetic properties of ferromagnetic materials. However, one remaining issue of ferromagnetic/ferroelectric magnetoelectric bilayer composite is that the induced effective anisotropy disappears with the removal of the electric field. The introducing of the shape memory alloys may prevent such problem by t...
متن کاملMagnetoelectric Multiferroic Composites
Magnetoelectric (ME) multiferroics are materials in which ferromagnetism and ferroelectricity occur simultaneously and coupling between the two is enabled. Applied magnetic field H gives rise to an induced polarization P which can be expressed in terms of magnetic field by the expression, P=┙H, where ┙ is the ME-susceptibility tensor. Most of the known single-phase ME materials are known to sho...
متن کاملMagnetoelectric coupling in the multiferroic compound LiCu2O2
We investigate the possible types of coupling between ferroelectricity and magnetism for the zigzag spin chain multiferroic compound LiCu2O2. We construct a multi-order-parameter phenomenological model for the material based on a group theoretical analysis. We find that a theory involving interchain magnetoelectric coupling belonging to the same unit cell explains the experimental results of Pa...
متن کاملSynthetic magnetoelectric coupling in a nanocomposite multiferroic
Given the paucity of single phase multiferroic materials (with large ferromagnetic moment), composite systems seem an attractive solution to realize magnetoelectric coupling between ferromagnetic and ferroelectric order parameters. Despite having antiferromagnetic order, BiFeO3 (BFO) has nevertheless been a key material due to excellent ferroelectric properties at room temperature. We studied a...

We report here realization of ferroelectricity, ferromagnetism and magnetocapacitance effect in singleSrFe12O19ceramic at room temperature. The ceramics demonstrate a saturated polarization hysteresis loop, two nonlinear I-V peaks and large anomaly of dielectric constant near Curie temperature, which confirm the intrinsic ferroelectricity of SrFe12O19 ceramicswith subsequent heat-treatment in O...
